Multi-tasking (Multi-reading) At It's Best

Ok. This happens to me fairly often.  My eyes are bigger than (no not my stomach) my reading time.  I know it's a cliche - But So Many Books So Little Time really should be stamped on my forehead.  I have become resigned to the fact that my To Be Read list is only going to keep growing. It will never shrink.  For every book I finish, I must add five to the list - at least.

Currently, I'm reading five books and listening to one on audio.  Two of the books are daily devotional type books, so I just read a chapter from them each day until the book is finished.  Even though I'm not the Battle of the Books coach this year - I've decided that this is the school year where I finish reading all of the books on the list. There are 40 titles and I've already read half - give or take a few.  Then I'm reading a mystery - always have one of those on hand. And I'm reading a young adult novel.  Of course this does not count the picture books that I read weekly (sometimes daily).

How many books do you read at one time? Can you multi-read or do you like to concentrate on just one book at a time?
