Holiday Break Reading Challenge Activity #10

Activity #10 Books As Gifts

Yesterday was Christmas - the day when most people exchange a few gifts. Being book lovers like we are it stands to reason that we either received books or gave books for Christmas. In this activity we are to tell what books (or book related materials) we received or gave this holiday season. If they were books we gave to others - tell whom they were for.

I always have books on my wish list, but I think most people are afraid to buy books for me – except for my parents by choice, who are always willing to go to book signings for me (and never accept my checks for the books).  So I didn’t receive books this year, but I did give quite a few book related gifts.

For my oldest son (16) I bought the following:

The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
An autographed copy of Dragons of the Valley by Donita K. Paul
Hush, Hush and Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick
The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
A Mockingjay bookmark.

For my youngest son (13) I bought the following:

Big Nate in a Class by Himself, Big Nate Strikes Again, Big Nate: From the Top by Lincoln Peirce
An autographed copy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney

For two young cousins:

Big Nate in a Class by Himself and Big Nate Strikes Again by Lincoln Peirce
Igraine the Brave by Cornelia Funke
The Fairy Tale Detectives (The Sisters Grimm, Book 1) by Michael Buckley

I love giving books as presents almost as much as I love receiving them.

What books were in your stocking this Christmas?
